King Tut

On November 4, 1922 Howard Carter and Lord Carnarvon discovered the tomb of King Tutankhamen. With the amazing discovery Carter shot to archaeology stardom and moved King Tut from a little know pharaoh to one of the most famous Egyptian ruler.

After Lord Carnarvon died on April 6, 1933 from an infection that led to pneumonia the papers dubbed it the "Curse of the Pharaohs."
